Bertil Emrah Oder is full professor of constitutional law at Koç University Law School and currently, she serves as Dean of Koç University Law School. After receiving her LLB from Istanbul University Law School, she obtained LLM degree from Marmara University European Union Institute. She received her PhD degree in law with distinction (“summa cum laude”) from University of Cologne (Germany). She worked as associate director and executive member of various centers for EU law, human rights law, international relations and gender studies and as international consultant of UN Women and Inter-Parliamentary Union as regards legislative screening and capacity development projects on gender equality.

Prof. Karadağ is the Dean of Koç University School of Nursing. She graduated from Hacettepe University School of Nursing in 1992. She received master’s degree in 1994 and PhD in 1999 from Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences Department of Fundamentals of Nursing. Between 1993 and 2000, she worked at Hacettepe University as a Research Assistant. During 2000-2014, she worked as an Associate Professor and as a Professor and a Manager at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Gazi University. Dr. Karadağ has plenty of national and international publications, books, panels, conferences, seminars as a course instructor, awarded oral/poster presentations, chairs in courses and congresses, international invited-speaker seminars, scientific research (BAP) and European Union Projects in her field of interest. Because of her studies related to Nursing Specialties in Türkiye in last fifteen years, she received “The Best Research from Developing Country, JWC Awards, 2015.” Some of her fields of study are Fundamentals of Nursing, Process of Professional Development and Gender in Nursing, Nursing Specialties and Ethics.

Öznur Özkasap is Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering, Koç University, which she joined in 2000. She was a graduate research assistant at Cornell University, Department of Computer Science from 1997 to 1999, where she completed her Ph.D. dissertation. She was awarded the TÜBİTAK-NATO A2 Ph.D. Research Scholarship Abroad. She was a research and teaching assistant at Ege University, Department of Computer Engineering from 1992 to 2000. She received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Ege University in 2000. Her research interests include distributed systems, peer-to-peer systems, bio-inspired distributed algorithms, energy efficiency, cloud storage and computing, mobile and vehicular ad hoc networks, security in distributed systems, and computer networks. Professor Özkasap serves as an Area Editor of the Future Generation Computer Systems journal, Elsevier Science, and National Representative of ACM-W Europe ((ACM Council on Women in Computing). She also served as an Area Editor of the Computer Networks journal, Elsevier Science, and as a Management Committee Member of the European COST Action IC0804 (Energy efficiency in large-scale distributed systems). She served as the publications chair of the ACM Conference on Online Social Networks (COSN) in 2014, as the co-chair of the NSF United States/Middle East Workshop on Trustworthiness in Emerging Distributed Systems and Networks in 2012. She is a recipient of the Turk Telekom Collaborative Research Awards in 2012, the Career Award of TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye) in 2004, and she was awarded Teaching Innovation Grants by Koç University.

Bahar Rumelili is Professor and Jean Monnet Chair at the Department of International Relations, Koc University, Istanbul. Prof. Rumelili has received her PhD degree at the Political Science Department of University of Minnesota in 2002. Her research has focused on international relations theory, processes of European identity construction, conflict resolution, and the interaction between the EU and Turkish politics and civil society. She is the author of Constructing Regional Community and Order in Europe and Southeast Asia (Palgrave, 2007) and the editor of Conflict Resolution and Ontological Security: Peace Anxieties (Routledge 2015). Her articles have appeared in journals such as European Journal of International Relations, Review of International Studies, Journal of Common Market Studies, and Journal of International Relations and Development among others. She is the 2009 recipient of Turkish Academy of Sciences’ Distinguished Young Scientist Award and the 2014 recipient of Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council’s Incentive Award.
