American Sociological Association, GATS, Best Book by an International Scholar Award July 8, 2021
Assoc. Prof. Özlem Altan Olcay, of the Department of International Relations, has received the 2021 American Sociological Association, Global and Transnational Sociology Section, Best Book by an International Scholar Award. Dr. Altan-Olcay received this award with Professor Evren Balta for their book The American Passport in Türkiye: National Citizenship in the Age of Transnationalism published by Penn Press in 2020. This award goes to scholars from Türkiye for the first time in its history.
